so I'm in the market for new heads for my 2332cc street/strip motor. I'm looking for a good Head and I'm stuck between CB's 044 Wedge Port and 044 Super Pro. It has a CB aluminum case, CB 84mm Crank and CB rods, and 48mm Dell'Orto's. Not sure of the Cam but I'll find out and post it. Would both of these heads benefit from Head work from a a reputable Head shop? I want to at least make 175HP I'm leaning towards the super pro because this motor will see alot of street time
Any help would be greatly appreciated, this is my first VW and my first "race" motor
Thanks!

I'd go with the Super Pro myself. Just like the oval port heads, the Wedge Port is now a pretty old profile for CB. The Super Pro is just an improvement, they still stock the others cuz people blow junk up and need replacements. But all the numbers say that the super pro is a better head, especially for the street. Give CB a call and get there advice on this if you really want a good opinion. They will tell you what you need, based on what you want your engine to do.

decided on custom heads by Jim Behrens to match my Web 122/125 CAM, I'd def go with the Super Pro's if I was running a different Cam but unfortunately it's not in the budget...

Either of those heads out of the box (on your motor) should easily make 175hp. I'm thinking closer to 200hp. Not a bad idea to have them setup by a head shop, or you can have Pat Downs (CB employee) set them up for you too.

i went with super pro's for my 2110, the manifolds (skat trak's) are currently getting match ported, total is gonna be around 1200 when done which i think is pretty resonable when said and done

When looking at the numbers on the Super Pros, they look very capable. I was looking very closely at them for my new motor set up as well. I don't really think you can go with either one, but the SP's would be my first pick.

200+ hp shouldn't be a problem with either of those choices, my 2332 made 200hp with fan belt on using CB ultra's 44x38's. 9.5cr

I got a set of wedgeports on my 2332 with 10:1 compression, web 86c cam and 44 idfs. Made 165.6 to tires at 5700 rpm. With bigger carbs it would do a lot more but hey its real driveable now. So yes wedgeports put you at 200 flywheel.
