A buddy has your standard "Hot Street" 2,276cc wth 48 IDA's. He's having some issues with the carbs/tuning.
The car can be a little hard to start when cold (but I told him some of that is just "the nature of the beast"), but his real issues are loading up at idle, bogging and a stumble after shifting.
I checked the two rear cyclinders with my Uni-Syn and raised the idle a bit, but the car seems to be running crappy to me (just by listening....I haven't driven it). The #3 cylinder doesn't seem as responsive as I think it should, either.
He has about 500 miles on it, so I told him to take it in for a check up and valve adjustment. Other than that, it runs strong at full throttle and runs cool.
Any ideas on what to check next? I'm wondering if he's fouled the #3 plug? I have not done a full carb sync, i.e. removed the linkage arms, checked the mitures screws, etc.

 Some specs:
 84x94
 DRD L7 heads
 9.5:1 CR
 FK8
 1 5/8" exhaust

 48 IDA's with:
 120 idle air holder
 60 idle

 120 air
 F7 emulsion
 155 main

Wow jetted really weird.I would think the plugs are serious fouled out...too rich with 120 air,ya have 40 vents?...need 200 airs .Main might be ok to start out with..F7's.. IDA likes F2 or F11...Idles maybe 65.Check the floats...Try that..my 2 cents. Grin

Ran this IDA set up in a 2165. good starting point. By the way, I'm at 800' elevation.
