Not sure what heads you got but the fk10 cam work great on my 82x90.5 with 48ida's. It ran up down the street like noting. I would use that cam again. My cpr was set 8.5.1 still ran 13.30 with radials and she had lot more in it, but i went to turbo so never got all out of it that it had. good luck!

I personally like the webcam 86b for a street cam on a 2-liter. Pulls from idle all the way to 7K. Very streetable, and very broad power.

This is nearly the same engine I built. 78.4x90.5, k10, street elim. heads w/42x37.5 (my own clean up of ports), Berg 1.5's, 9.5:1, Berg 42 specials. Trans was 4.12 with S/B main shaft, 1.48, 1.04.
I couldn't get the 42's to idle smooth....lots of hunting. Switched to 48IDF's, idled and accelerated very smoothly. I raced it a few times on 165R rear tires with a best time of 13.5 @ 100, spinning thru first and most of second. This car was a blast to drive on the street. You could drive easily, shift before 3k, and it never felt like it was bogging down.
