Kinda like when I gave out 200 bucks to the quickest and fastest buggy at bug-In. I will match the $100 for the S/C class at Sac along with Figmeyer racing.  Grin

hows this sound. You can walk away with the $200 bonus for number 1. Hemphill can get the $100 best reaction time, as long as you guys let me walk with the Tequila Roll Eyes

all kidding aside, Friday night testing is almost becoming a must now.

This is great that you guys decided to set up by giving $100,but this is not fair to the class sponsors who paid allot more than that and have been loyal supporters from the start. How about next year you guys step up before the season starts and become a class sponsor or maybe the PRA can have some special payouts set up in advance, I think the PRA is wrong for doing this. Just one persons opinion, Frank.

I guess I dont quite undertand your logic. Class sponosors are just that, class sponsors, and it costs more to sponsor a class-- in return they get their name out there all over the place, in magazines, on flyers, announced many times at the event, etc etc. These other guys arent getting any of that, just putting in a few extra bucks WITHOUT ANYTHING IN RETURN to make the classes more exciting for the racers, which in turn makes things more exciting for the spectators. "Sponsors" are buying exposure, these guys arent buying anything-- just trying to help out. It doesnt even qualify as "contigency" because these guys arent requiring we run their stickers on our cars-- its just alittle free cash given in an effort to better event participation and competition. I dont see whats wrong with that?

WOW, Not sure where that's coming from but OK.
We at FigMeyerRacing aren't sponsoring anything, merely donating $100.00 to the class we race in to entice, incent, create a little friendly competition, etc. with our fellow racers. We have not nor will we ask that our stickers are run or for advertisement at any time!!!!!
Class sponsors pay for what they get, advertisement.
Contingency sponsors pay out to those who run and advertise their name/products.
Now do you think the class sponsors would want contingency sponsors or anyone trying to add to the sport to stop offering added funds or incentives, in turn drawing less racers and less spectators, who by the way are the target audience for all sponsorship advertising.
Perhaps a step back and a little longer look at the big picture needs to be considered.
Eyes on advertisement = Revenue

I don't undestand at all where you are coming from with what you said above. Do you own or work for one of the sponsors , Are you part of any of this racing or any class Huh I take it you don't like the PRA , At one time where you a member of the PRA ? The added money is only helping the sponsors, How in any way is it hurting them???

If you look at a majority of fatass1's posts he has nothing but negative things to say.  The way I look at it the more money you can win the better!

I think I know where your comming from Frank, from a class sponsors point of view who paid alot of money to support a PRA class. In return the class sponsor gets alot of attention, magazine print, sticker placement. This money that was put up by three racers is a donation to intise competition, not to take away from the class sponsor. The PRA did not solicate this donation, but are thanking the three who are making this contribution. I dont see the harm in this.
