Question, what type of tranny fluid is a deep blue in color?  I finished up putting a tranny in my bug, and lost some fluid through the axels when pulling apart the drums and whatnot.  Now is time for a fluid change.  I just want to put the same stuff in it.

Smell it- if it doesn't stink hardcore like normal gear oil then it's probably Redline lightweight Shockproof gear oil.

Could also be amsoil synthetic

This brings a good question to mind. What is the recomended type / Brand / Weight, of Tranny fluid that we should be using? Huh

Im useing swepco also its blue in color .
