What is left to do ?

The head shown needs about a days worth of machine work and then it is done
Have a head state side which will out flow this one by 20% but this one will be a few months away from beening ready to use
Fuel injectors are made , need to make the intake manifold
Block , cam , lifters , crank , gear drive all done
If i could find a month just to work on it full time it would be ready to go

The heads are all done and are ready to have the final touch up work done to the ports
Have now made a start on the rockers and stands
I have gotten the fire back to finish the thing off and get it running

So look for the regular up dates to start

Well I have started back on this project
Over the last couple of months I've had a bunch of other things going on which has pushed this way into the back gound but last week the I got the heads back from having port detail work done ,so over the weekend made the valve guides and seats
this week will see them fitted and ready to do a mock up with springs etc
There will be picture this week once i have a mock up

Can't wait to see a pic of the finished chambers! What pistons are you using - dished, CR, and the engine will be 115 x 4.6", what displacement is that?

this one is a 166 inch model
CR is with a flat piston is 19:1  pistons are JE- plan is to see where  they end up and go from there
Have been drawing up the production model over the last few months - this is made to take a 125 stroke with a 120 dia piston

166 c.i. equals about a 2.7L engine. A 2.3 bug motor translates to about 140 c.i. Using one of the online calculators I used 125mm stroke and 120mm bore and got 345 c.i. or 5.7L. What length rod (or rod ratio) do you have? Why go for such a long stroke? There doesn't seem to be anything good about under square engines, but I'm sure you have a reason after all the engineering that went into building this. http://www.motoetc.com/home/2010/03/square-oversquare-and-undersquare-engines/

bush
the lift is .840 and the spring pressure would kill rollers

How many hours have you invested in programming your CNC machine to remake all these parts ?  I admire what you have done and hope to see the final assembly. Mike McCarthy
