I researched this a while back and thought I knew what I was putting together, but after the recent posts about the MSD/010 compatability I have some questions.
 Here's what I've collected:

Nice 010 with Pertronix module and new cap
 MSD 6AL
 Bosch Blue coil
 Bosch premium wire set

I think I bought some spark plugs but don't remember what....I'd have to dig around and try to find them. Most likely NGK's or W8AC's.

Is there any reason why this shouldn't all work together?

If your Bosch Premium wires are copper core the will not work. You need spiral or helically wound plug wires.

scroll down to plugs and wires

Another thing, I've read you need to use a resistor less rotor in an 010. Aircooled.net sells them. I plan on running your same set up on my 2165.

Mine are the "Bosch Premium". The box says "Opti-Layer Mag" wire, Kevlar reinforced core., 100% pure silicon jacket. The Bosch part number is 09001.
  Does that tell you anything?
What wires do you plan on using? That cap from AC.net is only ~$29.....cheap insurance to make sure it works right.

I'm not sure what those wires are.

I'm already running the 6AL, MSD Blaster 2 coil and Taylor Spiro Pro wires with my german 009 and ignitor. They were all with the car when I got it last October.

Shameless bump...what do I need to prevent troubles on start up? Besides the AC rotor, am I OK?

 Bump from six months ago.....
I was discussing this at the shop today. I never did find out if the Bosch wires I have will work with the MSD. I SWEAR I was told they would work, way back when I was researching all this stuff.....
Can anyone tell me if the "Bosch Premium"- "Opti-Layer Mag" wire, Kevlar reinforced core., 100% pure silicon jacket wires are compatible with MSD? The Bosch part number is 09001.
If these will NOT work, can anyone reccomend a good replacement wire?

hey scott.  i'm not sure about your wires either, i'm running all msd stuff.  maybe contact msd or go to their trouble shooting forum and see if you can find some info.   i guess this means the 2110 for the daily driver is getting closer?

Chad..Yep, went down and trial fitted the tin today. Will have it powder coated soon, then it's time for final assembly and break-in.
I can't run the MSD wires with the 010 cap, I don't think....
I'm looking for something stock-ish looking that will perform well.

I use stock electronic Vanagon Dizzy(recurved),
Bosch coil, cap, rotor, and off the shelf bosch leads from the auto parts store and they work fine with 6AL.

I read about problems with these parts and MSD and have yet to replace anything.

I love the limiter, but gained nothing in HP from the system without the MSD(by the way)

That mirrors my findings when we did back to back tests on the dyno with my 1,955cc. We swapped out an 009/Pertronix and blue coil for a full MSD set up (distributor, coil, wires and Digital 6 box). It made zero HP on the dyno, BUT...it made starting much easier, especially when hot and I never fouled another plug on that motor. My Dad has it now and it has thousands of miles on that set-up.

Also, it's good to hear that I can use those plugs. I was hoping to keep "the look" understated. What's the worst that could happen if I used those wires? Fry my coil or the MSD box or Huh

How could a piece of wire not work?

I don't know, Bruce. The MSD site says "no solid core wires". Think they'll be OK?

Electromagnetic Interference   Think buzzzzzzzzzzzz, and not just on a radio but also in the electrical system which will mess with some electronic devices.

Yup
will definitely effect efi and radio whether it will effect your ignition i dont know
its caused when power goes through the wire a electromagnetic field radiates from the wire
solid wires create one large field
where as spiral would create several smaller ones but they should have a canceling effect on themselves
