I have a Porsche Journal 82mm crank that I want to use for a mild street engine. Which rods are right for my application? 912 or 356/912? I heard that one set is stronger than the other. Also, what is the length of these rods? 5.359? Thank you.

Hard to come by + expensive. I want to know if the stock Porsche rods will work.

Here you go Porsche 912 rods 5.352"(great rod ratio with the 82mm crank).

Well I thinking that with B pistons, the deck will be smallkine plenty but with A pistons you going get spacers. I get a 78 with 5.325 with As and spacers is minor for me but if you like the amount of spacers you going need,or if you no mind big deck,I say go for it.

Thanks. I saw the LRE Rods the other day and I've emailed him. I'm using 85.5 B height pistons from DRD. No one should ever use A pistons if they don't absolutely have to on anything bigger than a 76. A 78 and 5.395s with B pistons are almost stock length.

With a 78 and As and 5.325 rods and case decked 40, my spacer is 60 and almost 0 deck so I say that is good for me.
