On July 28th, my husband Tim (Schell59), owner of 401 Restos and car restorer extraordinaire, got in a horrific car accident in my ’66 Beetle. The good news is he’s okay; the bad news is he broke his right ankle and left leg and will be out of commission for quite some time. As for my car, it's totalled. No worries my high-performance friends:He still has his '65 chassis car!

On Sunday, September 19th, there will be a benefit for Tim & 401 Restos at Dan’s Place, 880 Victory Highway, West Greenwich, RI, 02817. Festivities will begin around noon and will include a steak fry, bike run, car gathering and live entertainment provided by The Gamma Rays (one of the top rock-a-billy bands on the East Coast). Tickets can be purchased for $25 and include all of the above. Alcoholic beverages are not included and will be available for purchase at the bar. Please contact Cynthia Scheller at cascheller@verizon.net or 401-301-1537 or Dan’s Place at 401-392-3092 for more information.

See you guys there.
I know not too many on here are up this end of the country, but those who are I hope they make it.
Not only is Dan's Place some of the best eats around this state, but supporting Tim and Cindy, and helping get him back on his feet (literally), and into his 2nd home (shop) again is a great reason to go there!!

This Sunday!!!

thanks much man...Andrew I'll see you sun. come around 2ish would be best...should be alot of cars, especially American...thanks to Dan @ Dan's Place for putting this thing on as well as my wife Cindy.

...and to all the dudes who came down to the old shop to help clean it out, what a crazy amount of work.
kinda amazing how you can be sitting on top of the world looking down feeling good about how things are playing out and to have it all change cuz of some @#$ head's stupid driving decision...life's funny like that I guess.

...we're looking at a new place now and hope to have something in the works by the time I can walk again in Dec/Jan.... hey thing happen for a reason and maybe this was a blessing in disguise.

Andrew,to see the car in person makes you sick to your stomach...the frame head is literally broken away from the tunnel and the beam is touching the inner firewall crushing the master cylinder...unreal

...all I can say is ,wow.  Andrew thanks for coming, sorry didn't get to talk to you it was like a wedding receiving line, pretty insane. my buddies all brought their car cars and the both lots i guess were full,I never made it off the patio till everyone pretty much bailed but thats cool. ended up staying til 11:30 and nearly couldn't hold my self up,I had a few beers all day but i haven't drank in nearly 2 months so it'with the meds(dumb a$$) I paid dearly monday.
Again I'm so happy so many people showed and this will help up pay our bills til I'm back on me feet in late Dec/Jan. nice to see so many people that have crossed paths in my life to make presence at such a crappy situation, mindsets were great people were happy and that's all I could ask for.

thanks so much everyone, this goes in the memory bank forever.

No worries man, I had a good time. Plenty of beer, food, and gettin together. Couldnt have ordered a better day for it too.

The lots were packed, I parked up near 102.

It looked like you were not the only one on the meds/beer combo by the end of the night!!!

catch you soon!
