please help me with this

Hi, I  wondering how much horsepower do you estimate this combo could generate, I dont have anykind of acces to a dyno.

2110cc  82 x 90.5
44 x 37 cb wedge ports
48 cb ultracompetition FI
125 cam 1.1 rockers
9.1 cr
cb maganaspark 2 controlled by mallory 685cdi 440 coil taylor 409 cables

questions

1,- how much hp ?

2.- rpm range

3.- will be  a good idea replace 1.1 to 1.25 rockers

I want to know the rpm range to assemble the trans

irs rear, lsd , stage 1 clutch, 26 m&h slicks, 05080 nitrous kit    3.78, 2,06, 1.46, 1.04 gears, I dont know if install 4.34 ring and pinion or 4.12  ?( i have both), cruise is not a problem I already have a freeway flier trans.

is not a daily car, but  I will use it at street, 1 time per week
let me know your opinion

regards

I say 4.125 r/p ratio.

the power band should be from about 3,500-7,200rpm. Maybe a little higher if your valve springs are good.

HP around 175.

I would not hesitate to make your compression ratio 10/1.

Thanks for your answer
useful as always

C.R.  - Is difficult to me to have acces to fuel (airplane), sometimes the airplane fuel came from 91, sometime came 100 octane
and fuel queality in Mexico is not the best I have 2 option 87 and 91 fuel pump.
I always use 91.
Both pinging was an issue with 9.7 last time I tried

the cb catalog says that this heads came with 67cc chamber, Pat Downs say came with 65cc, when the heads arrives I will measure it.

I already have my setup with 0 deckheight.
If I want to obtain more cr, I need to flycut the heads.

I will start with 9.1 ,

Do you have access to E85 fuel in Mexico?
If so why not use that and bump the compression up.

e85= ethanol ?

no, I dont have access

then 9.1 at sea level , a lot of heat in Acapulco, and a lot of cars in the street,  I dont want overheat and pinging issues

if you believe that can handle more cr, with 91 pump fuel, let me know

No, based on what you say, I think you have made a good decision.
9.1/1 will work fine and should run great.

I have a few recommendations to run lower octane fuel:
1. keep the deck in the 1.0-1.5mm range.
2. Remove all sharp edges in the combustion chambers. Round off all corners. Make it all smooth.
3. Do not run a sparkplug with a projected tip. You do not want the electrode sticking out very high.
4. keep the motor running as cool as possible (muy frio). Run an external oil cooler, and do everything you can to make the fanshroud work as effeciently as possible. Use all stock engine tins. Seal everything up tight so no air leaks out.

Also,
Is that 91 octane a "motor" rating?
Or, is it (Motor + Research) / 2  ? (USA way of listing octane)

If you do not know. It would be a good idea to find out wich way they calulate the "91" octane rating.

My 2 cents: Too much heads for the engine, cam and CR. The Wedgeports need a big engine/cam/high CR to come alive.

I think the 1.25 rockers would be a good move. Especially if you upgraded to the VW 650 springs. Possibly worth 10 more horse since that cam is a little small for your heads.

I think everybody is right and with EFI the heads is not a problem but you need 1.25s and don't know if the stage one might hold if you go 7000 and wack second if you no have a good disc.

Mexico have had E85 for many years.  As a matter of fact a lot of their VW taxies runs on E85 with high compression engines.

Today I took out the springs of my brand new wedgeports,
to install soft springs to do geometry easily

the heads do not came with hardened valve spring shims and do not came with temp sensor port.

for me the shims are for increase spring stifness but somebody told me that dualsprings can wear the the aluminium heads and that I can use the shims to protect the base of the springs in the head, is this true ? I only have .030 shims

I red in this forum that cb wedge port ported manifolds are not enough, that can be ported a little more.
is this true ?, can somebody please post a photo of a ported wegdeport intake manifold

about the temp sensor for the FI, I supose that I need to make it (again ,041), which head came from factory with this port ?, only the FI type 3 ?, type 4 (914, bus,912e)
