The smell of the asphalt, the smell of bar-b-que, the smell of rubber burning, the smell of burnt racing fuel, the car show, the slalom, seeing the good 'ol boys and there cars and I almost forgot the bikini contest.  Can't think of another way to spend a weekend.

Just to add to the above post - I am a rookie at these hot VW's.  My wife and I saw our first ever VW drag race at Bug-Out in Manassass about 8 years ago.  I had been drag racing Bikes but my wife was too terrified of that.  Plus I now had a baby girl to stick around for. It blew me away to see these bugs haul ass the way they did.  Before you knew it my wife and I both had VW's.  She was driving hers and I was racing mine.  I even got rid of my boat for these cars.  Don't miss the boat a bit.  The guys in the VW community were very accepting and willing to help me and I have to thank alot of these guys because without them I don't know if I would have gotten as deep into as I have.  Maybe I should curse them out after the money I spend year after year - Just kidding!

Sean Dowdle - Peek Performance
Dave Park - Peek Performance
Jim Boone - Boones Fabrication
Dale Adams - Dunebuggy Dale (Pro Mod Buggy)
Virgil Prehn and Joe Cooper - (Drag Racing advice)
Jim Sartwell - VW advice
Jason Lauffer - VW Paradise (tons of turbo advice)
Gino - Pacific Customs Unlmtd.

and the many others I have forgotten!

Let's go Drag Racing!
