I went one-piece on my '60 about twenty years ago or so, mainly because my vent wings and related parts were in bad shape or worn...and then the shop who painted the car lost or broke a number of things. It does take a lot of patience and trial/error, but they can be made to work as well as OEM. I drove my car for a few weeks without the door panels while I sorted them out.
