Porsche 356 Rims and Early Cal-Look Cars

Those of you who have been following the 356 wheels thread on the Cal-Look Forum on Cal-Look.com (http://www.cal-look.com/forum/index.php/topic,27730.0.html) may know that I’ve been thinking about running a set on my ’67. I’m a big fan of early Cal-Look cars, and like the simplicity (and look) of the original 356 rims on Cal-Look cars. I’m also sick of the fake BRM-look, and my genuine DDS wheels, while cool, are a bit “macho” for the ol’ girl (my ’67).

Thanks to my good friend, Dave, I’m the proud owner of 5, matching date-stamped genuine Porsche 356 wheels. All 5 will be restored in the original Porsche silver, and will be run without hubcaps. Tires will be period correct Michelin XZXs, running 175s on the rear and 135s on the fronts. Classic, simple, understated early Cal-Look.

In the meantime, some cars running 356 rims (stolen from the above-noted thread).
